Addons

New feature added in Tiki14 and improved in Tiki15.

Introduction

Tiki is already one of the most feature-rich social business/web content management platforms that exist today, with all of these features being shipped in an "all-in-one" package, which makes it all the more impressive. Throughout its history, hundreds of developers have contributed directly to its codebase.

Nevertheless, in Tiki 14, the Tiki Addons feature was added to allow a way for thousands of developers to add an even broader range of functionality that can be used with Tiki.

Addons is a way of packaging Profiles, Smarty Templates and other building blocks of application functionality that can be used to better manage different Tiki configurations by developers and also for developers to offer these as independently maintained "apps" to others.

Addons are not to be confused with Mods which is an old feature that has more limited uses. In the longer run, there is a possibility Addons might completely replace Mods.

Where can I find Addons?

For now, as addons are made available, they will be added to this page. The longer term plan is to have an integrated "marketplace" for addons, themes and other cool stuff that can be used with Tiki.

Please read the documentation from the individual/company that developed each addon very carefully. Note that addons may be in varying stages of development (any addon that has version numbers less than 1.0 should be used with caution as that indicates that it is early release software).
